Happy 100 Blog Posts!
I began this blogging journey about three years ago with an entry entitled, “What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?” At the time, I had not a cent to my writing name. All I had was the understanding that writing is who I am, in the truest sense.
When I wrote that first post, I had no idea I would become a journalist for four separate magazines, rising from fill-in pieces to features. I could not foresee becoming an award-winning poet or published author. I definitely didn’t envision my name tagged to the chapter of a textbook. And I probably didn’t really expect to reach 100 blog posts, either.
Yet, here it is. Number 100.
I want to use this special milestone to thank you for embarking on this journey with me. Some of you have been with me from the beginning while others are just hopping on board. Regardless of when you first read my words, I want all of you to know that I appreciate your commitment, I laud your loyalty, and I cherish your incredible receptivity to my work. For those reasons, I’d like to go back in time and commemorate the last three years. Thus, according to the number of shares, here are the top 10 posts you all seemed to like most:
- In the Midst of the Mess
- Walking the Straight and Narrow
- Dear Future Mothers
- Let’s Set Ferguson on Fire Again
- Hate Crimes
- You’re A Sunset
- How Strong Are You?
- Hey Mama
- Love: A Response to Hate
- All the Single Ladies (And Gentlemen)
I hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane as much as I did, and I look forward to seeing you around these parts in the future!
