Books I Recommend
One of the hardest things about flipping that final page is finding another book to begin. If you constantly find yourself in that situation and you’re looking for some more reading material, I’ve put together a list of books that have influenced and shaped me at some point or another. If you’ve got some recommendations, too, please add them in the comment section!
1) The Help – Kathryn Stockett
2) The Screwtape Letters – C.S Lewis
3) Dad is Fat – Jim Gaffigan (this is the cheapest, most effective, and most hilarious therapy on the market for new parents)
4) Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen
5) The Hunger Games (1, 2, AND 3…is that cheating??)
6) The Shack – Wm. Paul Young
7) The Book Thief – Marcus Zusak
8) Bird by Bird – Anne Lamott (for all you other writers out there)
9) Romans (or any of the books in the Bible for that matter, but Romans was particularly influential to me)
10) Still Alice – Lisa Genova
11) Saint Mary Magdalene: Prophetess of Eucharistic Love – Fr. Sean Davidson
Jesus Feminist by Sarah Bessey
